What you eat matters, because everything that you consume becomes a part of you.

Food is more than energy and nutrients.

Food either helps to keep you alive and healthy, or it can take away from your health.

Did you know that an adult body is made up of roughly 50 trillion cells?

50 TRILLION!

Each one of these teeny tiny cells talk to each other and they only way they can is with nutrients present.

Imagine what happens when these cells don't receive the nutrients they need to communicate? Basic processes in the body fail to occur.

The cells in the body do not live forever. Each cell has a different turnover rate. For example, a skin cell lives for 28 days. Which means that every 28 days, the body is creating & producing new skin. The health of a skin cell is determined by the nutrients provided in those 28 days. If we don't consume adequate nutrition to grow a healthy skin cell, we end up with problematic skin.

We need nutrients just as much as we need air to breathe.

Vegetables contain so many beneficial nutrients to help our cells communicate with each other and keep all the biochemical processes of the body going.

A really easy (and delicious) way to increase your vegetable intake is by creating a nourishment bowl. A nourishment bowl for lunch or dinner would easily have 3 - 4 servings of vegetables just in one meal!

Nourishment bowls are also a great way to ensure you are eating a complete, nutrient balanced meals.

Follow the guideline below, the possibilities are endless!

Remember, every time you eat is an opportunity to nourish your body. So choose wisely!
